| S235JR is the European standard non-alloy structural steel, equivalent to Q235B, that is, low carbon structural steel, mostly used for welding, bolt connection, riveting structure.
S235JRG2 steel may be a specific one and has no different classes. it had been regulated in EuroNorm EN 10025 superseded by EN 10025-2 (2006) and therefore the new designation is simply S235JR. Both editions affect "structural" steels. |
